About the Conference

To commemorate the sixty-second birthday of Professor Chandrashekar Adiga, the Department of Studies in Mathematics, University of Mysore, Mysuru is organizing an International Conference on Number Theory and Graph Theory during June 27-29, 2019. Prof. Adiga is a renowned mathematician who has been working extensively on Ramanujan's Notebooks and "lost" notebook for the past three and a half decades and Algebraic Graph Theory for the past decade. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Mysore under the supervision of Prof. S. Bhargava, Retired Professor, Department of Studies in Mathematics, University of Mysore, Mysuru, India. The part of his research works in his thesis were published in Proceedings of American Mathematical Society and in Memoirs of American Mathematical Society. Prof. Adiga joined the Department of Studies in Mathematics, University of Mysore, as a Lecturer in the year 1983. His main research includes q-series, Special Functions, Theory of Numbers, Combinatorics and Algebraic Graph Theory. The contribution of Prof. Adiga in these areas is enormous. He has published more than 150 research papers in the above-mentioned areas in reputed National and International journals and guided 23 PhD students (including 05 foreign nationals). He has more than 50 research collaborators from around the globe. Prof. Adiga has visited many Universities for collaborative research and to deliver invited talks (South Korea, France, Turkey, China, Algeria, Japan, USA, Iran). He is serving on the editorial boards of Jangjeon Mathematical Society, and also he is a managing editor of Ramanujan Mathematical Society, Lecture Notes Series. Prof. Adiga is a recipient of Hardy-Ramanujan Society Award (1999) and Srinivasa Ramanujan Memorial Award by Indian Mathematical Society (2004).
