Brief History of Department:

The Centre for Information Science & Technology (CIST) is established by the University during 2000-2001 for all kinds of human computer interaction programmes. The CIST offers demand based IT training programmes for the benefit of young men and women. The primary objective of the Centre is to provide adequate knowledge and training with hands-on experience for an alternate career path in the filed of IT. The CIST conducts Post-Graduate Diploma, Diploma and Certificate Courses on various themes of IT.
 
    The Centre provides quality education and training in Information Technology, Information Systems and Services, offers need-based specialized courses to students/participants in the field of IT enabled sectors and continually seeks ways to improve both efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

The curriculum of Certificate, PG Diploma and Diploma Courses have been designed to provide an in-depth knowledge on various aspects of computer applications, Information management systems, Softwares and Technology innovations and so on.
