NADIG KRISHNAMURTHY AUDIO VISUAL STUDIO

The department of Journalism and Mass Communication started the course pertaining to VIDEO PRODUCTION in the year 1995-1996 to train the students about the technicalities of video production, documentary making , sound editing and so on.


The upgraded version of the studio with all the latest equipments was inaugurated in 2012 at the Department of Journalism . The set up was complete with a floor for production, Production Control Room( PCR), Editing suits for both audio and video was set up to train and develop the students so that they can be industry ready . Specialization of the TV Production, changes in the syllabi and developed areas of anchoring, scripting , Voice over , News presentation was included over the period of time .


Students are well trained by experienced faculty and technical staff on various facets of production. All the aspects are thoroughly evaluated and taught to them both theoretically and practically. Industry experts and regular workshops are also conducted to fill in the gap of the professional needs in the News channels, TV stations and entertainment outlets.


Regular visits to the TV production channels by the students during their study has added more value to the course .Students are encouraged to develop their news scripts , present news , anchoring skills , editing work in the course of time . The students have to compulsory produce programs in teams and individually at the end of the course . The students are been placed in almost all kannada news channels , entertainment channels in various capacities in leading technical teams .

Technical Details of the studio :
The studio has all the latest equipments which are used in the industry in terms of production . The equipments such as Tricaster , AV Switchers , Audio Mixers , Editing work station ( MAC) . Sony Camera DV cam , Panasonic HD CAM , Sony HDR, , Sony Handy cam , Microphones ( handheld , lapel) , SAMVAD –Teleprompter , Tripods .
